Trekking to Thadiyandamol was my second trek where we camped over night on the peak. First trek was to the Amedikallu near dharmastala.
As i saw 15 & 16 th OF AUG 2009 were holiday i called up all of my trek group (8 members :srikanth, thejes, vinay, venu, vijay, vinayak, girish & myself)and finalised the place booked a tempo traveler.

we all assembled in srikanths home @ 10:30 on 14th night so that no pick up which usually takes time in Bangalore trafic. we started at around 11:30 and were out of city by 12:00 and headed towards Virajpet (via Mysuru - Hunsur - Gonikoppal from Bengaluru) and then took Madikeri road from Virajpet. Kakkabe was the place we knew then inquired the root to thadiyandamole. we reached there by morning 7:00 as our drive took a nap in between.
Then the real trek started
after finishing morning work!! its good to see the greenery all round u after a busy week in the work place. we took precaution for the leaches as it was the rainy season. Applied "sunna or chuna" some also applied salt on to the feet and above the socks. Starting point of trek is the school , up to 1.5 km there is estate road after that when we could see the peak path become bit tough .so our pace got slowed.

The way is clear throughout the climb, there is no chance of getting lost. By around 11:00 AM we reached the small patch of jungle which marks the 70% completion of the climb and where v need to be careful about leaches as its very good place for the leaches to camouflage there presence. I say this because by the time we all came out of this jungle, each one of us had leaches on our shoes.

Last stretch of climb was really beautiful as we were moving in mist which gave the heavenly feeling. by around 1:00 pm we were on the peak . Enjoyed the rest of the day through the night with 2 packed meals and the camp fire. Building a fire took lot of effort and the skills of the "Bear grills". After the unbelievable and unparalleled sunrise we packed our backpacks to climb down. climbing down hardly takes 3 hours.

"According to me its a must see place"
